Terms & Conditions

Low Cost Digital

These Terms & Conditions outline how Low Cost Digital provides website design, hosting, support, digital marketing and related IT services. By approving a quote, paying a deposit, requesting work to begin, or using our services, the client agrees to the terms below.

  1. Project Approval

Work begins once the client has approved the project, quotation, proposal or agreed scope of work. Approval may be given by email, message, written confirmation or payment of a deposit.

The project scope will be based on the services agreed at the start of the project. Any extra work requested outside the original agreement may be quoted separately.

  1. Payments & Invoices

Invoices issued by Low Cost Digital are payable within 30 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

For website design and development projects, any outstanding balance must be paid before the website is:

  • Uploaded to the client’s hosting account
  • Connected to the client’s domain
  • Made live on Low Cost Digital hosting
  • Transferred, handed over or released for full client use

This helps ensure that completed work is finalised, paid for and properly handed over before launch.

  1. Deposits & Final Balances

Some projects may require a deposit before work begins. Deposits secure project time, planning and initial development work.

The final balance must be cleared before launch, transfer or handover of the completed website or project files.

  1. Client Login Details

To complete website setup, launch or transfer, the client must provide any required login details for domain names, hosting accounts, email accounts, website platforms or third-party tools.

Low Cost Digital cannot be responsible for delays caused by missing, incorrect or restricted login access.

All login details provided by the client will be treated confidentially and used only for the purpose of completing the agreed work.

  1. Temporary Website Storage

During development, a website may be built or stored temporarily on Low Cost Digital’s own server or staging environment.

Once the website build is completed and the client has been notified, the website may be stored on our development server for a maximum of 30 days, unless hosting or another arrangement has been agreed.

After this 30-day period, Low Cost Digital may remove the website from its temporary server to manage storage, hosting costs and server space. Where possible, reasonable notice will be given before removal.

  1. Website Launch & Handover

A website will only be launched, uploaded or handed over once:

  • The agreed work has been completed
  • The client has provided the required access details
  • The outstanding balance has been paid
  • Any hosting or domain requirements have been confirmed

If the client delays providing access, content, approvals or payment, the project launch date may also be delayed.

  1. Client Content

The client is responsible for providing accurate text, images, logos, product details, service information and any other content required for the project.

Low Cost Digital may assist with writing, editing, formatting or website content where this has been agreed. However, the client remains responsible for checking that all final content is accurate before launch.

  1. Revisions & Changes

Reasonable revisions are included where agreed as part of the project.

Larger changes, redesigns, new pages, extra features or work outside the original scope may be charged separately. Low Cost Digital will always aim to be fair and transparent before carrying out additional chargeable work.

  1. Hosting, Domains & Third-Party Services

Domain names, hosting, email services, plugins, software licences, stock images, paid tools and third-party services may involve separate fees.

Unless specifically included in the quote, these costs are the responsibility of the client.

Low Cost Digital is not responsible for issues caused by third-party platforms, hosting providers, domain registrars, plugin providers, advertising platforms, search engines or external software services.

  1. Website Ownership

Once the website has been fully paid for, the client owns the agreed completed website work, excluding third-party software, themes, plugins, stock assets or licensed tools that remain subject to their own provider terms.

Low Cost Digital may retain copies of project files for record keeping, backup or portfolio purposes unless otherwise agreed.

  1. Ongoing Support & Maintenance

Any ongoing website support, hosting, updates or maintenance will be agreed separately.

If the client does not have an active support or maintenance plan, future updates, fixes, changes or technical support may be quoted separately.

  1. Delays

Low Cost Digital will do its best to complete projects within agreed timelines. However, timelines may change if there are delays in receiving content, feedback, approvals, login details, payment or third-party access from the client.

  1. Cancellations

If a client cancels a project after work has started, the client may be charged for work already completed, time spent, planning, design, development, content, software costs or third-party costs already incurred.

Deposits may be non-refundable where work has already begun.

  1. Late Payment

If payment is overdue, Low Cost Digital may pause work, delay launch, withhold handover, suspend support or stop ongoing services until the account is brought up to date.

We will always aim to communicate clearly with the client before taking any such action.

  1. Backups & Security

Low Cost Digital may assist with backups, security or updates where agreed as part of a hosting or maintenance plan.

If the client manages their own hosting or website after handover, the client is responsible for maintaining backups, updates, passwords and security unless an ongoing support agreement is in place.

  1. Limitation of Liability

Low Cost Digital will take reasonable care when providing services. However, we are not responsible for losses caused by third-party platforms, hosting failures, domain issues, client changes, plugin conflicts, cyber incidents, missed renewals or external service changes.

Nothing in these terms is intended to limit any rights that cannot legally be limited.

  1. Agreement

By approving a quote, paying an invoice, requesting work to begin or continuing to use our services, the client confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
